Last night there was a big storm East of Denver, or so I'm told. That's important to know for this post.
Presenting:
"The Conversation I Overheard on the Bus"
UK title: "The Great Battle of Kansas vs. Nebraksa"
brought to you by Danielle & Co.
The cast:
Bus rider 1 (we'll call him Edgar)
Bus rider 2 (let's say he's Harvey)
Setting: on the Stampede bus. at 7:30 am.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Harvey: did you hear about the storm last night?
Edgar: Yeah. I used to live in Nebraska, and we had bad storms out there. Usually the ones that started here in the mountains and worked their way out East.
Harvey: Yeah, I used to live in Kansas, and we had terrible storms!
Edgar: In Nebraska, you'd wake up at midnight and not be able to go back to sleep because of all the lightning.
Harvey: In Kansas, you'd wake up at 2 or 3 am every morning and be kept awake by the storms.
Edgar: The lightning in Nebraksa was really bad!
Harvey: the lightning in Kansas was hellacious!
Edgar: Well, in Nebraksa, at the ranch where I lived, it was so flat, and there were no trees, and the lightning struck a ranch building and burned it down in two minutes!
Harvey: Oh yeah, well in Kansas, they did an actual study of the topography that scientifically showed that it's really and truly flatter than a pancake!!! A pancake has more hills and gullies than Kansas!
The End.
